so I just got an upgrade from the Ring wired 2K doorbell to the 4K wired pro doorbell.   and immediately it was apparent there was like static that sounds just like waves on the seaside that the 2K camera didn’t suffer from so I reached out to Ring went through all of the troubleshooting and they concluded it was a faulty unit, I’ve got the replacement unit today so I put that out and it’s the same so either my looks that bad or it’s not a faulty unit I started thinking right? Well it says the Wi-Fi is perfect but it’s gotta be something like this so I get power of the ethernet and plug that in and I turn the Wi-Fi off on my router and it seamlessly does run and loads faster but the noise is still there so my conclusion or best theory is it’s a firmware related issue and Ring needs to fix it sounds like gain levels. What do you think ?   that’s two separate wired pro 4K cameras both tried on Wi-Fi and power over ethernet.

Hi @user74278. Thanks for sharing this video.  I hear the noise and honestly, this doesn't sound too out of the ordinary. When there is silence outside, the mic is very sensitive so it can pick up sounds. Once someone starts speaking, this low hum you hear fades and the voices start to become more apparent. This cam could be picking up the low hum of a nearby AC unit or something similar. When you stand in front of the cam and talk, is your voice clear? Or does this noise cover up your voice?
