Hi, 

My ring doorbell was charging a few months ago and since then has just died. It won’t chime, it won’t turn on, I can’t reset it. I wondered if I’d overcharged it but I’m told that’s unlikely.

1. Is this a common problem?

2. Assuming I need to replace the doorbell, can I keep my current chime- it’s an older model- bought in 2019 so will the chime (and mount) still work with a newer model or does the whole lot have to be replaced? 😤
