When to add a resistor to a Ring Video Door Bell

- At a lake cabin,I have 2 older Ring Video Batter Doorbells.
- With them I am using Ring Brand Chimes that you plug in.
- I have two Ring Brand Transformers that are about 3 years old I never used. They are the kind that you install inside the wall and hardwire. I am tired of recharging the Doorbells.
- I have located a good spot put the transformers safely inside the wall in a box.
All I want to know is do I have to install a resistor of some kind to the Ring Doorbell? I don't "think" i do but i know there is someone that has done this.
