Hi @user28389. If you have motion detection disabled, the [Snapshot Capture](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360034355652-Taking-timeline-security-snapshots-using-Snapshot-Capture) feature will not work. This includes if you have the motion detection disabled within the Modes settings. You can find more information on how to use and edit Modes [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360036107792-Control-All-of-Your-Ring-Devices-with-Modes). Make sure you have motion detection enabled and adjust the Snapshot Capture interval to your preference. From there, you will see the snapshots within the Event Timeline in the Ring app. Snapshots cannot be viewed on Ring.com. Issue seem to be more widespread. I did an hour of troubleshooting with a community agent on phone. Did a reset of the doorbell, onboarded it back. Still no luck. Will go into step2 of the debugging.

Why on earth would snapshots depend on motion detection? The time you want snapshots is when the area the camera is watching is too busy to enable motion alerts, but you still want to be able to see what is going on. If I enabled motion detection the camera would be continuously recording. Snapshots would be perfect. Note that none of the documentation I have found on. Snapshots documents this limit. You should fix that. It looks like I am not the only one with this issue: https://community.ring.com/t/do-snapshots-require-motion-recording/13617 While that post has some complex work arounds, just fixing snapshot recording so it recorded snapshots when you turn it on is really the correct fix for this bug. Any plans to fix this?

This is a real problem which Ring is totally ignoring. No snapshots are appearing in the log. They are supposed to appear inbetween live views. It should not require motion to be enabled.
