Ring App does not request permission to find and communicate with devices on Local Network.

Ring App. does not request permission to find and communicate with devices on Local Network. I have tried all the standard fixes including deleting the app and reinstalling it, burt nothing seems to work. It used to be ok until a Mac software upgrade some months ago. I am running the latest MacOS Tahoe 26.6.2 Can anyone please help?
