Question

I bought a ring door bell 2 from a local garage sale and while setting it up it says to Contact the previous owner for ownership. I don’t know who the previous owner is . I have posted the mac Id how do I remove the old owner so I can use this door bell

It's locked to the last owner. If it was stolen then you're out of luck. You'd need to contact customer service. They can try to get the previous owner to unlock it. But if they don't respond I think it's pointless. If it was reported stolen, then it's no good either. Buying a second hand Ring device is not always a good outcome. Hope customer service can help you though.
