Old Ring Video Doorbell

Question

My Ring doorbell quit working a few days ago and no matter what I did I couldn't get it to connect. I bought a newer one and installed it without an issue. I have tried to connect the old one but the Ring app wants to use the QR code but this camera doesn't have one. I tried googling the SKU#: 8XB1X7-0ENQ, but can't find it on the internet or Ring.

Hi @user_085680. If it is an older model Doorbell that does not have a QR code, you should be able to skip scanning the QR code. To skip scanning the code, when the app asks to scan the QR code, select the option that says 'Other Options' and tap 'Can't scan the QR code.' You should get a list of devices to pick from. Select the option that says just 'Video Doorbell' or 'Video Doorbell 2,' whichever of those two that you have. This should allow you to move forward in the setup process without scanning the QR code.
