My Ring doorbell 2 is connected to a solar panel but it shows low battery and cannot live view

My Ring doorbell has been connected to the solar panel for over a year and was working fine. It was able to recognize the solar panel and indicated that it was connected to solar. Until recently, my Ring doorbell shows low battery and cannot live view. It does not recognize the solar panel, but I know it is charging. When I cover the solar panel to block the sun, the Ring doorbell shows full battery and I can live view again. When I uncover the solar panel, it's back to low battery and cannot live view. Or when the sun sets and there is no more sunlight, my Ring doorbell shows the accurate battery and I can live view again. Apparently, when the Ring doorbell is being charged, it indicates low battery. It simply does not work while charging, either hardwired to your power or through solar. This looks like a software issue. Can Ring address this?

I would recommend trying the following steps for your concern: - [Reboot your Doorbell using the Ring app](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/7438395032980-Rebooting-your-Video-Doorbell-or-Security-Camera). - Factory reset your Doorbell by pressing and holding the set-up button on it for 20–25 seconds, and then [reconnect it to your wifi](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034825092-How-to-Reconnect-Your-Video-Doorbell-or-Security-Camera-to-Wifi).       Recently experienced the same, been nearly a year of swapping out batteries on ring video pro doorbell with a solar charger attached, and recently, when replacing the battery, the doorbell reports low battery (despite fully charged battery) and prevents’live view’ due to low battery. I can only remedy the situation by disconnecting the solar charger, with the battery in the doorbell, then reconnecting the solar charger. Does feel like a software issue, or doorbell not recognising the battery and assuming the solar charger is the only power source.
