Doorbell not sending Motion Alerts
I recently bought a new Ring Doorbell, I can’t drill into the house because I’m renting. I do have a third-party door mount, could that be interfering with the motion sensors? I did contact Amazon & Ring and they said to send in my camera and I’ll get a new one, but if it’s the mount that’s the issue I’ll just get a new mount. I don’t know why I didn’t think about this before I called customer service. I did check all my settings THREE different times with customer service and they said it should be working properly. It does show the recording of motion, but doesn’t send me the alerts!

Hi @user_48d484. The third party mount could absolutely be interfering with the motion detection of the doorbell. I suggest only using official Ring hardware. Try using our No-Drill Mount. Also, how high is your doorbell mounted and is there steps or a hill leading up to it?
