Cleaning Lens of Peephole Camera

So the main reason I purchased a peephole camera for my apartment door came by in the middle of the night and left graffiti on my front door using a permanent black marker and in the process managed to swipe across the lens of the camera as well. Management removed the graffiti from the door using a magic eraser but I want to know what I can use to get that swipe of ink off the lens of the camera. Would a rubbing alcohol wipe be safe? I read where you can also remove permanent ink from hard plastic by going over it with a dry erase marker and then wiping, but it said the alcohol in the dry erase marker was the key, so I figured an alcohol wipe might work as well? But I don't want to damage my Ring! Thanks for any help you can give.

CHi @RingringGusCallin. To clean your Ring Doorbell or Camera's lens, you can use a dry microfiber washcloth to gently wipe away any dirt or debris. When it comes to something like permanent marker, as mentioned in the original post, you may need to follow up with our [support team](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) for further assistance as certain cleaning methods could damage the lens.•0
