Can I install a Video Doorbell 3 on Doorbell 2 drilling holes?

I have a Video Doorbell 2 and would like to replace it with a Video Doorbell 3. Can I use the existing drilling wholes of the Doorbell 2 or do I need to drill new ones? T The Doorbell 2 has been mounted directly on the wall without any adapters.

Hi @Alexx. The Ring Video Doorbell 2 and the Ring Video Doorbell 3 do have a different footprint, so they are not compatible. If you wish to upgrade, we do have a [No Drill Mount](https://store.ring.com/products/video-doorbell-3-no-drill-mount-bundle) for the Ring Video Doorbell 3 that will allow you to place your new Doorbell right where your old Doorbell was, with no hassle!
