The Junction Box on the New Retinal 4K Outdoor Cam Pro (POE) are too Large to Install on a Home
Long time Ring customer who has installed and maintained well over 20 different Ring cameras, lights, etc. I currently have seven stickup cams of which five are POE elites, one doorbell and two wired cams. I just sent back the five new retinal 4K POE outdoor cam pro’s because the junction box is huge, very unsightly. There is no way I would install this on my home. There is an option to install without the junction box but for indoors only. I have no choice but transition away from Ring. I will use the older version Ring Elite POE cameras until I find a suitable non-Ring replacement. Or Ring if you are listening, put your heads together and come up with a way to install these new POE cameras outdoors without the large junction box. Please help or lose me as a customer and likely others who use POE cameras.

I agree. The new POE camera options are terrible. Mounting is terrible, camera positioning is terrible. These are the same cameras at the battery option with a handful of clunky adapters to make them work with POE. Stick up Cam Elite was actually a different camera. These new options are complete junk. Unfortunately they are no longer manufacturing the elite stick up. As someone with 22 Ring cameras, the idea of switching to a different solution isnt a fun idea, but if this is the direction Ring is going, I'm going to have to burn this bridge.
