Ring Stick Up Cam Updates then reboots repeatedly
troubleshooting

Battery powered stick up cam, when I put the battery in, it starts a sequence - I did my best to multi-task and document the sequence:Blue light comes on for about 30 seconds then turns off for about 5 min. Blue light back on for 20 seconds. Then off 5 min. Back on 15-20 seconds, off 15-20 seconds, on 20 seconds, off for about 5 minutes, then starts flashing 3 times repeatedly about 10 times (light solid in between sequence of 3 for a second or two), then off about 5 seconds then starts flashing 3 times again (maybe 10 times), off for about a minute, flashing 3 times again (maybe 10 times), light off... That's enough of that...If I hold the orange button 20 seconds, the red light flashes rapidly for some seconds, goes solid for a few secs, flashes rapidly, goes off Then after a few seconds I get a solid blue light for maybe 10-20 seconds, then shuts off for about 5 mins, flashes red rapidly for a few secs, then flashes blue slowly (slower than the 3 flashes earlier). This seems to be pairing mode. I have been able to add the camera to my ring app by scanning the barcode on the bottom and it sets the wifi successfully and the camera appears in the app and I my router alerts me that the camera device joined the network. The camera goes solid blue, I even get an alert from ring in my email that the device was added and the app shows 'successs!'. Then about 10 seconds later it starts flashing 3 times medium speed. The app shows 'installing an update' in the camera preview box. Maybe 2-3 minutes later flashing stops and light goes out. About 20-30 seconds light comes on for about 30 seconds, then off for 5 minutes and it seems like it repeats the sequence described earlier. I have tried two different batteries and made sure they were fully charged with a single green light. I have also tried a hard wired power source (transformer) and it does the same thing.I have tried leaving it without power / battery for long periods (days/weeks) no difference.Any ideas? Is it possible to get these replaced?

Hi @user_1337ca. This Help Center article here will help you understand the light patterns that your cam is presenting, and what they mean. If you are unable to get past the update portion, try connecting to a WiFi hotspot. Sometimes networks block the update as apart of their security protocol. Once the the update has complete, you can switch it back to your normal network.
