Ring App Not Requesting Local Network Access on iOS 26 — No Option to Enable

Hi all,I’m trying to set up a Ring camera on my iPhone 17 running iOS 26, but the app isn’t requesting local network access, and it doesn’t appear under Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network. This means I can’t complete setup or connect to the device locally. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:• Deleted and reinstalled the Ring app• Restarted the iPhone after uninstall• Checked all app permissions (Location, Bluetooth, etc.)• Tried triggering the prompt via Safari and setup flow• Reset Location & Privacy settings under General > Transfer or Reset iPhone• Attempted setup with a factory-reset Ring deviceDespite all this, the Ring app never prompts for local network access, and it remains missing from the Local Network list in Settings. I’m using the latest version of the Ring app from the App Store. Is anyone else experiencing this on iOS 26?Is there a known workaround to manually trigger the local network permission?Any help or insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi @user_d9f543. Is your Ring app up-to-date? Do you have iOS 26.0.1.? What specific iPhone do you have? I am not seeing this issues with my iPhone.

Hi. It’s the latest ring app. iOS 26.0.1. iPhone 17 pro max. The app is installed from new as I didn’t restore this one from a backup. I believe if the iPhone already had the app installed and then upgraded to iOS 26, it would already have the local area network and not create you (or others) an issue. Hope that makes sense? Thanks.

Hi @user_d9f543. Thank you for providing that information. Could you also share a link to screenshots of the error message you see in the Ring app when setup fails? Additionally, please include images of the Ring app permissions in your phone's settings.
