Problem using 5Ghz wifi
Hi, I have had problems with my existing ring cameras that should be able use 5Ghz. But it have not been possible. Now when I bought my newest camera it should be AX certified. But still not connecting to 5GHz. After some own investigation I realized that Ring cameras just use I few channels above 100. This channels is not often used in consumer produkt i Europe and Sweden. And not in mesh networks. I have never heard of any other produkt that just use higher channels and never have this issue before on other Products.
- Why do Ring just use some channels in 5Ghz network?!
- And why are Ring not more transparent with this when you by ring devices?
- Are you able to launch lower frequencies by software update or is this hardware fault/limitation?
I feel a bit deceived to be honest.

Spotlight Cam 4K pro ( should handle Ax)
The cameras do not find or attached the 5Ghz band because you do not accept channels bellow 100. The Ring devices stay on 2.4 GHz instead. I have never heard about this in any device on the market before. Why are you just letting us customer use channels that are not common in several countries.
I’m using a pro mesh devices from TPLink called be65. They do not use that high channels in Sweden, they stop like most devices on 48 channel mod to disturb radar end so on. 😞

Hi @user_8ea435. Can you please specify which model of Ring camera you have? The device name is located on the Device Health page in the Ring app, and on the original packaging. What exactly happens when you try to connect the Ring camera to your wifi network?
