After a light rain, the app alerts me that the camera battery is low. It isn't, my devices are plug in. I have 3. They all have done this. Ring support said the cameras are malfunctioning and to return them to the store. It took hours to get them wired through the eaves and attic 30 ft or so off the ground. It's not worth redoing everything to have the same issue because I think it is a design flaw. I used an off brand camera outside for 4 years with no issues. We bought Ring because we already had the doorbell. The Ring Stick-up camera has let me down within the first month. The focus keeps shifting from fuzzy to clear as well as the aforementioned weather issues. The doorbell plastic has also become cloudy and started peeling off. We fixed one stick-up camera by drying out the power port and resealing it with weatherproof caulking. In general, I think that the competition has caught up with Ring, and there are several more reasonable and durable options to purchase.

Nov 3, 2024.The best way to get Ring's attention is to hit Ring in their pockets - don't pay for another year's subscription. The nice thing about the American economy is capitalism. Meaning, competition. You already have the electric wiring, just keep the important ring equipment and replace the other equipment with motion lights, or install other companies' alert lights that will provide the same function that those Ring lights provide. You don't need Ring equipment - Ring needs you and your money. Shop around. What you need is a piece of mind - not headaches with excuses. I hope this helps.

Nov 3, 2024I have spoken to Ring representatives about receiving numerous ringtones. in the last four years. I do not need 80 or more ringtones clogging up my phone. I am not impressed by the Halloween, Christmas, New Year, dogs, cows, trains, etc. ringtones. I only used three ringtones, so I do not need 77 ringtones sitting on my phone. I have tried numerous times to delete the 77 ringtones and within a matter of several minutes or 24 hours, the 80 ringtones appear - frustrating! Recently, on Oct 20, 2024, I again contacted the Ring representative/Technician he provided me with a job number and stated I would receive an answer to my complaint. Well, within 72 hrs the email message stated that Ring can not do anything about Ringtones because the Ringtones come with the Ring App. In other words, Ring is not going to do anything about the software issue, whether I like it or not. However, I take Bruce Lee's style, " the art of fighting without fighting". Until Ring finds a way to correct its software problem, I am not paying for another year of subscription. Almost every company in America is in business to make money not to lose money. So, the Ring community let's hit the Ring company in their pocket - cancel or find another company that will listen to customers. Customer satisfaction should be at the top of Ring's agenda, and it is not!
