Motion zones - want to record motion across 2 zones but only get alerts on my default zone
I've already searched and it seems this can't be done, which honestly is baffling.
We've had issues with crime in the housing estate I live in. I have a new Ring outdoor camera to record my driveway and send alerts for cars/people.
I also want my camera to record motion detected in the common laneway where all our driveways are. I have my default zone set to my driveway, and Zone 2 set to capture motion in the laneway. But I don't want to get alerts for people driving in the laneway, but I do want my Ring camera to record it.
It seems I either get alerts for everything, or alerts for nothing. What's even the point of having multiple zones?!
It seems weird that this isn't already a feature.

I second this. What is the point of multiple zones if you can’t adjust the alerts for each.
