Linking Contact Sensor to Camera

If you cannot link a device to a contact sensor, how do I get a camera to start recording when a contact sensor is tripped?
Specifically, I have a contact sensor on a door. I would like a camera in a different part of the house to start recording each time the door is opened. I cannot use the motion detection of the camera because it cannot see the door being opened, and it covers a busy area of the house (lots of alerts). The goal is when the door is opened, I get alerted by the door's contact sensor and I can then review the video that was recorded by the camera. Thanks.

I too would love this feature, i have indoor cam of main living area with front door in view and would like to trigger recording soon as door is opened, instead of constant recording with motion and notifications as I have roommates and wanna see what their sticky fingers are carrying in and out of my property.
