IOS Widget not letting me select all cameras anymore.

wireless-security-cameras

so since the recent update version 5.102.0 and 5.101.0 (and maybe even 5.100.1) the IOS Widget does not let you select 4k or 2k cameras, I have 3 cameras, one of which (2k garden camera), is not selectable in the dropdown list displayed. Please fix this as this was working perfectly before the updates mentioned above, Also the live view performance (opening and loading the live view) seems to be considerable degraded since the updates as well whereas circumstances like wifi quality, speed, placement etc have not changed. I have also gone through the troubleshooting steps the app suggests and nothing has worked. So, i would be grateful if this could be fixed as i am paying for a service that, since the last few updates, is not fit for purpose as a security camera or a ring door bell.

We're happy to share that this issue has been fixed as of Ring app version 5.104. If you do not see the option to update your app, check your app store at a later time. Thank you all for your continued patience as our team worked to resolve this issue.

Yep, I posted about this above.

I told Ring about it almost a month ago and they said they know about it.

They’ve done NOTHING about it though and some people are saying they’re blaming Apple.

I mean how hard can it be for the developers to sort this out?

They just seem like they don’t care.

Hi @user_5d039c. Yes, that is correct. Tom advised that you can contact support if you would like to be notified by email once this issue is resolved. We do not have access to account information on the Community, as it is a public forum, so we cannot do that on our end. Our team is still working to resolve the issue, so there is nothing further our support team can do at this time.

So i made a previous post about this and was told Ring is working on a fix to the issue - but i feel i need to keep the community upto on this issue aswell. As of update 5.103.0 on iOS app (latest update as of 07/05/2026), the issue still remains where the widget wont let you choose all available cameras for their own widget. Yep. I’ve just done my second update in 2 days and the widgets are STILL not working 😡😡

They’re just laughing at us now.

They don’t care about us at all.
