My camera bricked after a firmware update. Unfortunately my camera is out of warranty, and I'm forced to buy a new one. Ring support gave me 30% off, but it feels not right. In my opinion Ring should provide me a replacement because through a firmware update it bricked the camera. I'm paying a subscription which should cover the software warranty and if the firmware breaks the unit support needs to replace it, even when the hardware is out of warranty.

Hi @user26437. I'm sorry to hear your Ring Camera isn't working as expected. You're on the Ring Community, which is a public neighbor-to-neighbor forum, so we aren't able to provide assistance with account-specific concerns such as warranty questions. I know you have spoken with support already, but any further questions or concerns regarding the warranty or any discount code you were offered should be directed to our [support team](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406).

Called Ring today about the same issue (Firmware update) and they told me I was out of warranty by a month and the only thing they can do for me is offer me 30% off a new camera. Completely ridiculous. I have to buy a camera every 12 to 11 months. Looks like I will be buying a different brand of camera that will last longer. I guess it’s my fault. The firmware won’t update.
