Are videos in the cloud
Previously my setting of maintaining videos was 180 days. I never changed it to 60 but after this Tucson Guthrie case, i looked and sure enough it is 60 days. I asked my brother to check his and he said 180, only to log in and see it was also 60. My question is, i need videos from November of 2025 if possible. That is now outside of my 60 days. Is it possible for Ring to see if any videos exist for November?

The reason for my question is I was ripped off by a fencing contractor. I was hoping to get video of him on my property to use in court. From what I have read it looks like Ring is completely useless in recovering videos beyond 60 days.

Hi @user_864c67. With an active Ring subscription, videos can be stored in the Ring app for up to 180 days, depending on what you have your video storage time set to. The default setting in the US is 60 days for most devices. Once a video has been deleted, either manually or due to the storage time expiring, it cannot be recovered. Ring does not store backup copies of any video footage for your privacy. I would always suggest downloading any videos you need to keep to your phone or computer.
