Why did you not research and read what Ring does? You're blaming them for not researching and you didn't.. Tell me one other camera system like Ring that lets you record to your pc directly? There are none since they're all cloud based systems. You want a DVR system. This is not that. Sorry but your anger is misplaced.

The issue is Ring failed to mention in their adverts that further charges will apply. Why do you think Ring would do that? probably because they know most people wouldn't buy their products if they knew that up front.

I disagree this was purchased as a gift, by the time I realized you had to have a damn subscription it was to late, I would have replaced it with the owlet

You need to go back to research school since there Is a very well known and clearly strong competitor for ring and many if not all other security camera/system companies that are out there and the name of the company is [YI Home cameras](https://www.yitechnology.com/about)[spoiler]This text will be blurred[/spoiler] also known by the name as Kami home camera system. So raise up off the bloody gas peddle that has you jumping all over peoples back for asking for an explanation for why paying customers have to additionally be charged further to then use the devices for which they have they already paid. Even if it's not the advanced features but just a simple functionality to get the system that they paid for up and running and make it semi bearably usefuland get off Mr. Guy's back because he rightfully feels a company that partners with the local law enforcement that's also getting government kickbacks from the local government. It more than likely probably also has some sort of deal with the national government as well in times of crisis which it receives bookoo tax benefits it's getting, so the fact that they can't even provide a simplerecord to your computer or record to USB device for free option and maybe just charge for a cloud recording option providing its already invested cutomers at least one option to record for free...

I just got a flood light camera, but do I have to pay for the subscription on that even though I have the subscription for the doorbell? If not, how do I link them both on the same subscription? I do have them on the app together. Sorry I’m new to this :frowning:

Hi @iamelba. If you have the Ring Protect Plus plan, it will cover all of your devices at one location. If you have the Ring Protect Basic plan, this will cover one Doorbell or Camera and you will need a Basic plan for each Doorbell or Camera. I am trying to re-a scribe because miles expire but I don’t know how I try resigning in I even signed up with a new password and it still won’t let me in I need to finish recordings on my porch while I’m away
