App landscape display no longer works
With the latest app update, I can no longer use it in landscape mode--it is forced into portrait sideways on the screen. I use the app with a tablet and keyboard in landscape to monitor two homes with Ring. Landscape mode has been working fine for 5 years. Please restore this capability as it is nearly impossible to use as it is now. Thanks.

Hi @jamitt. Are you using iOS or Android? What page in the Ring app are you referring to that will not allow you to view it in landscape mode?

JAndroid 16. When the apps first starts, it comes up in landscape, then instantly turns the window--this is the dashboard. All page now don't work in landscape except viewing the cameras. All of them used to work for the past five years!!!!!!!
Why is it no longer supported? You have in some way disabled the Labs landscape feature. The only app out of dozens on my tablet where it does not work. Please have your software people re-enable the Labs feature. I don't understand how you would manage to disable this feature, as I stated, it works with every other app I use. Its been working correctly for five years. I have two RIng homes with professional monitoring--now you have screwed me!!!!! Yes, I'm angry!
BTW, the app does not work with the Android 16 desktop mode either. See my other post.

Ditto. My android tablet suddenly will not display the dashboard in the landscape orientation.

- JAfter my Samsung tablet recent update, the user interface now defaults to the new Android 16 desktop mode (multiple windows simultaneously like Windows). The Ring app barely works in the mode. Can't close windows, the timelines are missing is what I found so far. Basically, the app is useless in desktop mode. In addition to that issue, with desktop mode turned off, the Ring app now disables the use of the app in landscape mode via the Labs feature. This is the only app out of dozens on my tablet that does not work with the Labs landscape setting. So being both alternatives are broken, the app is now difficult to use on my tablet (landscape using a case and physical keyboard). Please fix these issues ASAP! Hi neighbors. I have looked into this further, and this change is due to an update. Viewing the Ring app in landscape on an Android tablet is no longer supported, with the exception of viewing videos.
