Yale Assure Lock 2 TOUCH compatibility

Question

Many of the Yale Assure Lock 2 locks are compatible with the Ring Alarm. We own the Assure Lock 2 TOUCH which has a fingerprint reader. Why is the Touch not compatible and is Ring working to make this compatible? I would like to invest in the Ring Alarm system, but not if it's not compatible with my lock. Several other posts on Reddit seem to echo this frustration of the Touch model not being compatible. One member noted that the Assure Lock 2 Touch was designed by Yale to work with Ring, SmartThings and Hubitat and that it is up to these manufactures to ensure that they are fully functional within their eco system. I attempted to create a support ticket for this with an online community support agent and supervisor and they were not helpful in getting this issue address or escalated to the proper team.

Hi @user_4u20tk. You can find a list of smart locks that are compatible with the Ring Alarm here https://ring.com/support/articles/6hf9b/Works-With-Ring-Locks-Compatible-With-Ring-Alarm. I'd suggest checking which model number you have, and verifying if it is on the list of compatible smart locks or not. If your smart lock is not on that list, it cannot be set up in the Ring app with the Ring Alarm. You're welcome to create a post on the Feature Request board suggesting your model of smart lock be added to the compatibility list.
