- OThis is STILL an ISSUE 2 years later. It doesn't happen every time the power drops. Like today, it just started doing it out of the blue. If I am not home, ill get 1000's of emails of battery backup / power restored. The way I stop it is by unplugging it, and plugging it back in. I could hear it chime as if the power is being lost and restored over and over again. •

Its 2025 and this is still an issue. Brief power outage, the system just starts spamming my email and phone of lost / restored power, over and over and over again. The only way I have been able to stop it is by unplugging the base and plugging it back. Is there an option to remotely reboot the base?

OSo there is an option to REBOOT the Base Station - PANCAKE - DEVICES - ALARM BASE STATION - BASE STATION - DEVICE SETTINGS - ADVANCE OPTIONS - REBOOT BASE STATION. Does absolutely nothing. Device reboots, comes back up and its generating OFFLINE/ONLINE alerts every second again. Power to the device needs to be physically removed. I contacted RING support and they had no clue what to do. First they asked me to send someone over to remove the power then they didnt even know how to remotely reboot the device. So either I have to buy a WiFi plug to kill the power remotely, or I need to put the Base on a UPS. Otherwise there is no solution to this issue.

I put the base station on a Wifi Plug so that I could unplug it when it starts spamming me with notifications. THIS DID NOT WORK. There was another power blip and the device once again started spamming me with notifications that it was running on backup / power was restored over and over again non-stop. I was able to cut the power to the device but as soon as I restored power, it started doing it again. Unbelievable. I had to physically remove the power cord from the base station and re-connect it again before it stopped doing this. I bought a new base station now. This will be the last try to solve this, a waste of $128 IMO and a negative experience towards RING at this time.
