Ring base station not working

Hello everyone. I have a ring security system that has stopped working. When I plug it in the lightning bolt on the rear shows red for a brief moment and then nothing. The blue lcd on top of the unit does not light up. Has anyone experienced this issue? If so, how did you correct it?

Hi @user197283. Try giving it a reboot by quickly pressing and releasing the reset button at the back of the device with a paper clip or similar tool. **DO NOT PRESS AND HOLD THE RESET BUTTON DOWN LONGER THAN ONE SECOND TO AVOID FACTORY RESETTING THE DEVICE.** If you have tried this step and are still having the same concern, give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406#callus) for further assistance.
