Fire Alarm With No Fire When I Don’t Have Smoke Detector
false-alarm
Last night my alarm went off telling me it was a fire alarm. There was no fire. And even more strange is the fact that I don’t have a Ring smoke alarm. I cleared the alarm, set it again, and yep, it went off again - fire. So now I can’t set the alarm because the fire alarm will go off. This system is not even one year year old. Hoping someone can help. Thanks.

Hi @PinballWizard. It sounds like you, or a Shared User, may have inadvertently activated the SOS feature. The SOS feature is a button in the Ring App that allows you to quickly alert Police or Fire dispatch. You can learn more about this feature [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360028689251-Using-the-SOS-Button-in-the-Ring-App). I hope this clears things up for you.

You may be wrong. I just got a call that my smoke alarm was alarming and Ring dispatched Fire Dept.. none of my smoke detectors show any activity at all!

Hi neighbors. If you have verified the SOS feature was not used by accident, give our support team a call to have this further investigated. https://ring.com/support/contact-us/call?hasLangChanged=true
