Base speaker extender

Question

I have the alarm system generation 2 only. I do not have the doorbell or the peephole. I need a way to hear upstairs when doors are opening downstairs. I see the chime extender, but I don’t know if it works for alarm system only.

Hi @Kallencj. The Ring Chime and Chime Pro are designed to work with the Doorbells and Cameras, so they do not play the alert sounds when Contact Sensors are opened. You can enable chirp tones on the Keypad if the Keypad is positioned in a different location from your Base Station, and this will allow you to hear when the doors are opened downstairs. You'll want to open the Ring App \ Main Menu \ Alarm Base Station \ Keypad \ toggle on Play Chirps. I hope that helps! :)
