Just bought 4 of the "glass break sensor (newest model)"https://ring.com/products/glass-break-sensor?srsltid=AfmBOoo7eBQyOhBrVd9wp2DDN04eXKhzOYGItHwssc1nHRLM16haBA70
If you scroll down to power and connectivity, it says it connects via amazon sidewalk or Zwave. Right off the bat from opening the box, the little Ring paper instructions say this is a 3rd gen glass break sensor, but the "Warranty and Safety" paper says this is a 2nd gen sensor, with model 7AFYA4. This does not exactly inspire confidence with the lack of attention to detail. The problem is that I cannot get this to pair via Zwave. I am NOT using amazon sidewalk. I was able to pair it via amazon sidewalk, and immediately removed it. I only want to pair via Zwave, which is why I bought them. I can't buy the previous version, they are all sold out online, and likely not being produced anymore.
I have tried to enter inclusion mode by holding the front button for 3 seconds, but it never joins my Zwave network. I have tried going through the Ring app setup up until it adds it via Amazon Sidewalk, and then try to hold the front button for 3 seconds to initiate inclusion, which also does not work.
Will I be returning these? Does this actually not include Zwave? Ring's own AI states it does not include Zwave despite the page saying it does.

Thank you for your reply. Though you state it can connect via Zwave, the device is not listed on Zwave Alliance Product Page, which lists devices that are actually compatible with Zwave.

I wish I could get the previous generation, which is listed on the page. Looks like I will be returning these.

@user_69951d The Glass Break Sensor can connect via Z-Wave, but only if you have a Ring Alarm Base Station or Base Station Pro. It is not a licensed or certified Z-Wave device, which is why it does not appear on the Z-Wave Alliance website.

Hi @user_69951d. To clarify, do you have a Ring Alarm or Ring Alarm Pro Base Station set up on your account? The newest version of the Glass Break Sensor can be connected via Amazon Sidewalk or Z-Wave, with the Base Station being required for Z-Wave. If you do have a Base Station, you should see an option to set up a Z-Wave Sensor under Set Up a Device. You can also tap the option to choose manually, then select Sensors & Accessories > Glass Break Sensor (3rd Gen).
