VPN and Ring Site

troubleshooting

Ring.com does not allow access through a VPN. This is extremely frustrating, because I have to turn off my VPN and access the site directly. Ring is in the security business, so it should recognize that many customers choose to use a VPN to securely access the web. This is not a new issue, I see other references to VPN and Ring site access in this community forum.

Hi @C317414. As of December 2019, the Ring app is not compatible with the use of a VPN. You can read more about Ring and the use of a VPN [here](https://community.ring.com/t/trouble-using-ring-and-nord-vpn/7829/2). You should be able to exclude Ring traffic in your VPN's settings, or you may have to disable the VPN when you access the Ring app or Ring.com.
