Transferring Ownership from a deceased spouse
I am having an absolutely HORRIBLE experience with Ring and just transferring ownership from my late wife.
Apparently, Ring doesn't seem to acknowledge that husband and wives, living in the same house, actually share an account & should be able to both access an account. I have provided the death certificate at least 3 times now, we also have cameras at our Airbnb that is a 2 hour drive away, so I am not physically at that location. And they insist I have to take each camera down and offline for a certain amount of time, and then want to EMAIL my late wife's EMAIL account for 2 weeks (I don't have access to the email or phone anymore, so I can't verify from either of these, but I have provided all of the relevant information to Ring related to the account) to see if she responds (note that I already provided the death certificate), and then will transfer to me? What the? Email the deceased person? But I have complied, and done all of the above at least 3 times now, and not one camera at any of our JOINT homes has been transferred to me from my wife. Every time I call I get a different answer as to why. I am at a complete loss on what to do at this point, but they continue to charge me for a service, now I can't keep an eye on my rentals, and they refuse to move them to the account I set up in my name. They even have a menu item when you call requesting to transfer ownership of a deceased person, but nobody can give me an answer as to why they won't transfer them. I live at the same location. What is the point of having all this data, in the cloud, or whatever, if they can't take all the cameras on her account and move them to mine? Just unbelievable. Yesterday, the supervisor just hung up on me because I told them I wouldn't be hanging up that they could get a supervisor on the line that could resolve it for me, so the supervisor just hung up on me. If anyone has any similar situation, please advise. My wife passed almost 2 years ago, I had access for a long time, but am guessing during an upgrade or something, I had to reload a password not sure, but it used her face, which I can't do now, and I lost access, I have been trying for approximately 6 months to regain access, and this is still unresolved. I had no idea the account was only considered in her name and upon me providing the death certificate, they have completely locked me out and refused to transfer the account. Help!
