No PIN on original Ring Video Doorbell Pro - how to retreive it using app or support?

I have for many years owned the original Video Door Bell Pro. Now we are moving, have no longer use for it and I intended to give it away to a friend. When I removed it from the wall I did not find any installation PIN (only MAC, SKU and Serial Number). I also checked the original box with but sadly there is no code there either (I have only saved the bottom half of the box where the accessories are stored - perhaps the code was printed on the upper half?).As I still have the unit connected to my app (showing I once had the code and is the original owner) I would have assumed there was a way to retreive or change the PIN but I cant find it.Any advice on how to solve this problem? Can cusomer support help if I provide the info that IS on the back of the unit?

Hi @MagnusHuddinge. After you remove the Ring Doorbell from your account, the new owner will be prompted to scan the QR code to set up the Doorbell under their Ring account. There should be a QR code located on the Ring Doorbell itself. It may be underneath the faceplate, rather than on the back of the Doorbell. If there is no QR code, they can select the option to scan the device's barcode instead.

I have looked closely at all sides of the device including the backside and the only codes are two bar-codes (one above the MAC and one between the SKU and the serial number) - is it one of these codes that should be scanned? Also do I need to remove the ring from my own account before trying to add it to my friends or can I keep it as a "backup" if it does not work to scan those codes etc?

@MagnusHuddinge Did you remove the faceplate to check as well? The QR code is underneath the faceplate on some models. The Doorbell must be removed from your Ring account before another user can set it up under their account. You can walk through a new setup on your Ring account first to test out scanning the barcode.

Mydoorbell does not have a PIN or a barcode, only a MAC address and a DSN #. Scan of QR code fails and I try to use other options, but it wants a PIN that does not exist on my unit Model #BDM002002UW

Hi @user_2d894f. After the device is removed it can be set up again. During this process, there is an option to "Set up without scanning". If you are unable to find the QR code, this would be your best option. I hope this helps.
