Doorbell & Chime Plan?

I currently have just a ring doorbell and i have the basic plan. If i want to add a chime in the house am i able to on my current basic plan or will i need to upgrade my plan. Thanks

    Basic plan is per device vs. the Protect Plus which covers unlimited devices. Devices are defined as those that record so since the Chime doesn't record, you should be good with what you have. However, note that after the one year factory warranty expires, only the Protect Plus plan will also offer additional benefit of lifetime warranty as long as the device is covered under Protect Plus and not interrupted. But... you need not start the Protect Plus plan until the first year anniversary.
