Wired Ring Doorbell (3rd Gen) - Dissapointed won't work with existing doorbell chime
The mini chime provided in the Wired Ring Doorbell (3rd Gen) kit sounds terrible. I much preferred the Wired Ring Doorbell Pro 2 ability to work with my existing mechanical doorbell chime. Any change Ring will provide a Wired Doorbell that once again works with an existing Doorbell chime? If not I may be looking at alternative camera doorbells.

I totally agree, loosing the ability to use my existing chime is very disappointing. I know some people do not care and the the younger generation likes using their phones for everything. But for those of us who do there should be an option to be able to use it.

I agree as well. This was a really poor thought out idea by Ring. I've been a ring customer since just after the initial launch and now I am currently rethinking my choice of brand. Do better, ring..

Hi @user78004. At this time, the Chime Kit Mini is used to optimize power delivery for Ring 2K and 4K doorbells. We do not have any information on future products or their power requirements, but I have moved your post to our Feature Request board. We use this board to gather feedback on the features and products users would like to see.
