New feature request - Ability to customise notifications for each motion zone

Overview

Ring devices currently allow users to create motion zones, but notification settings apply universally across all zones. A new feature should enable users to customize notifications for each motion zone individually.

Feature Details

  • Users can set different notification preferences for each motion zone in the Ring app.
  • Example Use Case:
    • Walkway Zone (high-traffic area): Notify for every detected motion.
    • Side Yard Zone (low-priority area): Record motion but do not send notifications.
    • Driveway Zone (medium-priority area): Notify only for people, not for vehicles.
  • This feature improves control and reduces unnecessary alerts, while still capturing all motion for review.

Benefits

More Control: Users decide which areas trigger alerts.
Reduced Notification Fatigue: Avoid constant notifications for non-essential motion.
Enhanced Security: Ensures important areas receive immediate attention.

Would you like me to refine this further or add additional use cases?

    This!!

Exactly what I want too. My use case is on the doorbell which looks out onto a busy public path and road:

Door Zone: Alert and Record for all People

Public Zone: Record all Motion, but do not alert

As above, I could think of more useful applications. And not wanting to get shot down in flames, but this is something that I'd consider paying for the top subscription to get access to, with basic motion zones being part of the standard sub.

Any response from Ring if this might be feasible?
