I have a wired Ring doorbell and a plug in mains chime V2.

In the past, anyone pressing the ring doorbell would activate the chime and I would also hear the chime sound from my smartphone.

Something has changed and I no longer get the chime notification on my Android V15 phone.

I still get motion alerts on my phone, and can view activity on my phone, so the basic connection is functional.

I've gone through all the settings on the phone and the ring app and they appear to be correct. Notifications are enabled, notification volume is set high. Notification sound has been selected and echoes correctly. All ring notifications are enabled in phone settings. 

I did contemplate reinstalling the ring app, but it's unclear whether I would need to add back the ring devices or whether they would be preserved.

The problem with reinstalling the app if I need to re-add the doorbell, is that the QR code is located on the side of the doorbell nearest the wall and would need the whole assembly removed to scan the code.

Any suggestions?
