App Issue

It would appear that if you’re iOS is below 17 iOS, then you will not be able to access your account, make changes or contact customer support, although Ring still expect you to pay your annual subscription fee despite the restrictions they have now put in place. Restrictions that basically say… buy a new phone if you want to have access to your own paid for account. Ring appear to have no trouble sending you a renewal email though.

Hi @user_b3606e. If you have an iOS device that is not compatible with the Ring app, you will not be able to download the Ring app on that device. However, this does not mean you cannot access your account. You can still visit Ring.com or reach out to our support team for assistance. If you do not have a device that supports the Ring app and need to access your account, you can do so by navigating to Ring.com and logging in through a web browser. You can also contact our support team by calling one of the numbers available here or by reaching out via Facebook, X, or Instagram by sending a private message to @Ring.

The last question I asked a Ring customer service agent was, “Does this basically mean that Ring is simply saying, buy a new phone”?

      His reply was, “Yes”

      I rest my case.
