Wired Ring Doorbell Pro - Mechanical Chime Offline

We have a question regarding a functionality of the Wired Ring Doorbell Pro.When it is offline, the doorbell would chime the in-house mechanical chime once. After the first chime, it will not ring the mechanical chime anymore, but the Ring Doorbell itself does still chime. We did wait for a min to ring the doorbell again.Is this normal behavior? If so, it sounds very disappointing that a doorbell will not function as a regular doorbell if it is offline. That is like buying a smart lightbulb that doesn't light up without Wifi.Has anyone had a similar experience?
