Why did Ring remove mechanical chime support from the new Wired Doorbell 4K Pro?

I've been using my Ring Pro since 2021, and it works perfectly with my existing mechanical doorbell chimes. I have two chimes installed, one upstairs and one in the basement, and both ring whenever someone presses the doorbell. I'm using a 24V 40VA transformer.

I was looking forward to upgrading to the newer 4K Pro, but I'm extremely disappointed that Ring removed mechanical chime compatibility and now requires the Chime Kit Mini.

Why remove a feature that worked perfectly fine on older models? My current setup allows me to hear the doorbell throughout my house, but upgrading would mean losing that functionality unless I purchase additional electronic chimes.

I don't understand why customers should have to replace or bypass perfectly functional mechanical chimes just to upgrade their doorbell camera.

Ring should have kept mechanical chime support as an option instead of forcing everyone to use an electronic alternative.

Is there a technical reason for removing this feature? Are there any plans to bring it back?
