I didn’t want spend more than I want and get a packet with other miscellaneous Ring doorbell cam parts which I didn’t need. So I went to the local hardware store to buy a small packet of Phillips flathead #4-40 x 3/8 inch zinc machine screws that cost about $1.40 versus $5 for the Ring parts kit and waiting for it to arrive. The screw I got from the local hardware has Phillips screw head, not Torx screw head. But it’s not a big deal since anyone who goes to trouble of trying to tamper with it be on camera doing so. Also using a Torx screw versus a Phillips screw won’t likely reduce your chance of having someone tamper your camera since the screwdrivers for both types of screw heads are widely available and used.

Hi @user7629. The security screws for the Video Doorbell 2 are T15 Torx, so you can check a local hardware store for screws of this size. Alternatively, you can also order our Spare Parts Kit for the Doorbell 2, which will contain a spare security screw. I hope this helps! :)
