Ring and AMZN Deliveries
hardwired-battery-video-doorbell
I know this is an old topic and I generally subscribe to the idea that resurrecting them is a no-no but I want to put this simple question out there... Has ANYONE ever recorded a COMPLETE AMZN delivery with their Ring doorbell? My status is this - my ring works flawlessly (apologies to those with all the connection issues) - *EXCEPT* for AMZN deliveries. If it records anything at all, it will be the last few seconds as the person is just about back at the street/vehicle. It has NEVER recorded them approaching the house or placing the package. Again - every other delivery, neighbor, dog, cat, etc it records complete and without issue. AMZNs official stance is they don't block the Ring from recording their deliveries so the only possibility that leaves is the drivers are doing it unknown to the powers that be? Wi-Fi blockers are not only illegal, but they are VERY expensive, so this too doesn't seem likely. Anyone else in this boat, or more to the point - as asked originally - anyone getting FULL recordings including package placement on the porch?

I initially had similar problems with missing all deliveries, but did some tweaking of sensitivity and camera placement and it resolved all the issues. I'm also using the doorbell 4 which has the "pre-roll" capability. Now - literally the only deliveries that are not captured in their entirety are the ones from AMZN. (shrug)

Same boat here and happens very frequently. Shadow on a car "recording", neighborhood cat sneaking around "recorded", I walk outside "recorded", Next door neighbor crosses does the side "recorded". Amazon delivery. Nothing. Driveway is around 30ft long and setup to record anything all the way up. Camera is on the driveway facing down to cover the whole driveway. Device is new Ring Floodlight pro cam ~2 months old. I have a MyQ camera in my garage doors so not ring in the garage. It records the driver. The driver is right below the Ring Floodlight camera waiting around 10 seconds to open the door + 20 seconds for it too close then the driver walks back down the driveway. In total the driver is making movement in the driver for at least 30 seconds yet it does not detect ANY motion. I hate to put a tinfoil hat on but 100% something that when linked to Amazon account that ring will no longer record on driver arrival. Wouldn't be hard for the device to be sent a "do not record" and whether this is to cover Amazon for legal reasons of its drivers.

Same boat and it’s 2026. NONE of my Amazon deliveries are detected and recorded- every other delivery service is just fine. It captures everything else as I have multiple zones setup and no one can come to my door without being recorded - except Amazon. This wasn’t always the case but Amazon now owns Ring so easy to figure out what’s happening. I will be looking into a class action lawsuit since this illegal.

I noticed a problem with today's delivery. The camera which is mounted on the corner of my roof caught the truck and somebody coming out of it and heading towards my steps.  Unfortunately, there is a bush that needs trimming so it didn't catch the person's face since it appears that he held his head to avoid recognition as he got out of the truck.  Video shows a :glitch" and then the truck drives away.

The ring doorbell never caught anything on video yet it captures a person walking a dog on the street a few minutes earlier or a deer walking across the sidewalk in front of my steps at night

This also explains why two days earlier in the morning someone came up and took a package off my porch.  I was not expecting a package from Amazon so I presume it was this person and delivered to the wrong house.  Nothing ever showed up on either my ring doorbell or the camera.

Someone said that signal jammers are expensive but maybe Amazon pays for them for the drivers that request them.

I wonder if a single jammer works if you have a inside camera in outside.
