Door bell chime makes a humming noise

I have 2 chimes, in different locations, both are the same brand (Zenith/Heath). Location A has the Ring power kit installed in it. The chime in location B makes a faint buy annoying humming sound. Can I do away with this location? Can I jump the 2 wires to bypass the chime? BTW, no humming noise in location A!

Hi @user_193d9e. If the second chime isn't in use, you should be able to disconnect the wires to remove it from the doorbell circuit. This should prevent the humming, as the chime will not have any power going to it once it's removed from the circuit.
