Can't Reinstall My Ring Gen2 Camera Doorbell

I have had my Ring gen2 camera doorbell for 4 years. Recently, the Ring stopped working. The transformer that powers it died. I installed a new identical transformer with a 10VAC output. Because the Ring was without power for many days, I had to let it recharge for a couple days. I then attempted to reinstall it. I removed the front cover and pressed the orange button and waited for the spinning white light to appear on the front of the Ring. After several tries, I could not get the light to appear. I then put a volt meter to the power leads and read 10VAC. I am at a loss as to where to go from here.
