Spotlight cam plus ceiling mount issue that weather cover opening could be a problem

spotlight cam plus install - when ceiling mounted there is an opening at the top of the weather guard feeding down by the wire connection ... won't this collect insects, dirt, etc., - could it cause a bad connection over time?

Hi @Gabesring. This Help Center article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003821023-How-to-Properly-Position-Spotlight-Cam-Battery#:~:text=Your%20Spotlight%20Cam%20should%20be,%2Dlevel%2C%20or%20slightly%20higher) will show the proper way to mount your Spotlight Cam. To mount from the ceiling, you'll need to rotate the ball joint.

The first spotlight cam worked fine under and eave .... why would a new design eliminate that capability?

Hi @Gabesring. I apologize; I've made a mistake. You can mount the Spotlight Cam Plus from the ceiling. You can reference this YouTube Video [here](https://youtu.be/Qew-Q2lQPDY?si=7X5JetUXFHFtY92M&t=306) for an example of this. You'll just have to flip the ball joint connection. Again, I apologize for the mistake.
