My next door neighbor has a Ring floodlight that illuminates both his yard and ours when on.  

We're on waterfront and we have no curtains on any of our back windows/doors, so when the light comes on, it's actually able to wake us up.

This is not their permanent home, so they're frequently not there.

When he first got it, the light would come on and off all night.  On for 60 seconds, off for a fraction of a second, then back on for 60 seconds, non-stop.

He had a difficult time troubleshooting with Ring, but eventually got it to stop.

Then, this week, it started again.  I didn't say anything for two nights because he's a good dude and I don't want to be "that neighbor", but yesterday, I texted him about it and he "reset" it in the app.  Last night, when the sun went down, it stayed off for hours, but around midnight, it started again and continued through the night.

Has anyone experienced this and have some troubleshooting advice that I can share with my neighbor to help figure this out?

Update: he was on with support and there was a software update to his device.  He rest it and it was fine for about 2 hours and then it started on/off'ing again, through the night.  Still trying to help him so we can sleep.  No one else experienced this?
