Hello [@costaricaguide ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004155866-Controlling-the-Floodlights-and-Light-Settings-on-Your-Floodlight-Cam) , Your Floodlight camera is equipped with two independent motion detection systems, each designed to perform different separate functions. One motion detection system is for turning the flood lights on & off when motion is detected. The other motion detection system is for when the camera detects motion for the video part of your Floodlight camera. Using the Alarm Modes of "Disarmed", "Home", and "Away" can effect the behavior of the motion system that controls the camera video part, but does not effect when the floodlights illuminate by trigger motion of the motion system that controls the lights. Thanks! The instructions at the link need updating since there is no longer a tile to "Tap on the Light Settings tile for access to the advanced floodlight controls including Motion Control Settings and Light Scheduling. " The motion control settings are now hidden away under a menu under device settings but they still don't seem to work. I have them all shut off as shown in the screenshot from my phone but they still come on almost constantly.
