2nd Gen back plate
installation
I have the 2nd gen, that uses the orange pick tool to remove. I cannot get the lower lock mechanism to engage. I've tried using the tool while installing with no help. It's been 40 minutes with no success.
I'm flipping aerospace mechanic!!!! This can't be that difficult! Any tips? Or this thing goes back.

Hi @user_cc2792. I recommend applying some pressure to the entire doorbell to check whether the lock mechanism is stuck, as pushing it back into place may help reposition it correctly. Once you have done this, try pressing on it again with your orange tool to see if it unlocks.
