Ring Contact Sensors Using Wrong App Sound
Without any obvious updates to my android phone or the ring app, suddenly my default app alert tone has changed from my chosen app sound back to the wind chime sound for contact sensors only. anytime a door is opened or closed, the wind chime sound plays instead of my chosen sound 'signal'. I can't find where to change it back. At first, I could reinstall ring and it would fix itself. But now even a reinstall does not fix it

There was a Ring app update June 17 (on my phone), that must be what caused this problem.

Same issue here too - used to be able to set different alerts (for your phone) per alarm contact but now seems they are all defaulted to the same sound.
If I figure it out I'll post

UPS: is no figuring it out they deleted / vibe coded away the ability to change this. Please put this back in the app ASAP as this is SUPER annoying.

Woke this morning with the same. Suppose to be "navi" and all it will do is "windchimes". Further, all 11 of my contact sensors showed that they were still "navi" sound and each device was showing a "finish setup" icon on each contact sensor device (all this was done over a year ago and all were working fine until this a.m.). Spent 2 hrs on phone with 3rd tier tech: delete/reinstall app-->no change, finished and renamed all 11 contact sensors. At last, all back to normal. Comeback 3 hrs later and everyone reverted back to "windchime". It's got to be on their end. Also, now my device tiles in the dashboard are arbitrarily scrambling their order.

as anyone found a fix for this its driving us and the dogs mad they think someone is at the front door bark and the parrot tells them to shut up, it now can sing the wind chime to, so double double annoying
