Security camera notifications affecting wifi
Hi. I have a ring security camera at my back door. My WiFi router is in the living room at the front of the house. Every time my camera detects a motion and sends the notification, it interferes with my wifi. I work from home and when I am in a Teams call it freezes for a while every single time motion is detected.

Probably because when it records video it uploads to ring. You need more upload bandwidth or to enable QoS on your router and deprioritize the ring, or add more priority to your machine. Depending on the QoS you choose, you may be able to simply put Teams video at the top priorty.

Hi @user_8394b4. As the previous user mentioned, this sounds like an issue with upload speed. Both the Ring Camera and the Teams call use upload speed, so not having enough will negatively impact one or the other when both are used at the same time.
I'd recommend getting in touch with your internet service provider first to clarify what upload speed is included with your plan, and if you're getting the appropriate amount. From there, you can look into using Quality of Service (QoS) settings to set the priority for your work computer.
