Outdoor Siren Draining D Battery on Solar
All,
I've had a Ring Alarm system for a few years and recently installed a (Tipee) solar panel and connected it up to the outdoor Siren, in order to use the light feature at night. It all works and I can see the solar charging up the rechargeable battery pack. However after a few weeks, the D Batteries showed a low battery warning and then the siren stopped working so I changed the D Battery thinking it might just be age. However the new D Battery is also now showing as low - it's like the night light is using the D Battery power as a source not the rechargeable?? I've searched the manual and general googling but couldn't find any info or solution so help would be much appreciated!

I believe it is wired correctly as the rechargeable battery pack shows it’s being charged by the solar panel in event history.
The solar panel is third party.
Thanks

THi @user_d2910f. Thank you for this information. With the Solar Panel being a third party accessory, this is likely the issue. Ring devices are not tested with third party items, and only official Ring products have known compatibility. Differences in manufacturing can have variances in voltage or other important factors. I would suggest switching to an official Ring Product to ensure functionality.

Hi @user_d2910f. I would check to see if your Outdoor Siren is wired correctly. You can check here. Also, is the Solar Panel a Ring Solar Panel, or a 3rd party Solar Panel?
